Welcome to Old Town Sherwood, our community’s Main Street.
There’s still a place where neighbors take the time to say hi. Where kids bike to school. Where volunteers chip in when it’s needed. Where small, locally owned stores line the sidewalks.
But this is not exactly the Main Street we remember. This is a lively and magical place where the young – and the young at heart- gather to celebrate the spirit of Robin Hood, to reenact a colorful past, and to envision an idyllic future. This is a creative and charismatic community where the craft of winemaking is honored, where the arts of all walks have a home, and where open conversations are heartily welcomed.
With a strong commitment to the family combined with a dynamic and fresh approach, this Main street breaks the mold of the past. It’s Americana revisited. It’s A Main Street for the new millennium.
Old Town is known for its quaint, small town community feel. Spend the day walking the sidewalks, shopping for artwork and antiques, crafting with paint your own pottery, visiting our history museum, relaxing at one of our salons, getting a little extra stretching in our yoga studio, reading a book in the library, meeting up with a friend in one of our coffee shops and dining on breakfast, lunch and dinner at our restaurants. Soon you will be able to catch a play or concert at the fabulous Sherwood Community Center.
Throughout the year you can enjoy one of our festivals; Cruisin’ Sherwood Car Show, Robin Hood Festival and our Holiday Festival.
