Such a wonderful late afternoon gathering of families at the Old Town Sherwood Halloween Celebration. Games, photo booths, trick or treating, freebies, drawings, and contests made up a great offering from Sherwood vendors and organizations. Adults, children, and pets dressed for a night of fun.
Sherwood’s 125 year celebration is on! To commemorate Sherwood’s
Quasquicentennial, we are going to have a party! Collaborating with the City, the Historical Society and our local arts groups, Sherwood Main Street will be hosting a ‘first of its kind’ dinner event
and historical celebration in September on Railroad Street.
As ‘Smockville’ was incorporated as the town of Sherwood in 1893, Railroad Street was considered the ‘front porch’ of the community. Along with all the activity associated with a train stop, Railroad Street was the local spot to eat, drink, shop, go to the post office, get a haircut, and especially, gather for good times.
We are going to build on that community spirit and celebrate our Anniversary by holding a Farm-to-Table open air dinner, in the middle of Railroad street!
We will use local restaurants and businesses to provide the cuisine, with a menu reflecting a variety of foods from around our area. The street will be adorned with an array of historical displays, and the cloth covered tables will be decorated with Sherwood memorabilia. The dinner is by reservation only, but the cake and events at Cannery Square will be open to the public.
Please join us in celebrating 125 years of achievements with good food, local entertainment, and neighborly company at this special event.

The historic and picturesque town of Sherwood, Oregon welcomes you to the realm of the Robin Hood Festival. One of the oldest and most unique community events in Oregon (est. 1954), our wondrous Festival and international archery tournament attract nearly 20,000 revelers of all ages each year in the summer.
Our old-fashioned Community Parade winds its way through Sherwood Saturday, July 21 at 10 AM, featuring Maid Marian and her Court, Robin Hood and his Merry Men and 70+ imaginative entries from far and wide, some competing for high honors.
There will be dancing in the streets (and many enjoying the beer & wine garden nearby), as well-known bands from the Pacific Northwest and featured entertainers take to our popular Main Stage. The Family Stage in the Renaissance Village specializes in wonderfully creative, interactive performers to delight young and old, a traditional Knighting Ceremony, medieval re-enactments, stunts, swordplay, clowns, magicians, alchemists, comedians, improvisation, music & dance, and appearances by Maid Marian and her Court, Robin Hood and his Merry Men. Special surprises throughout the grounds of the Festival, occupying the streets of Sherwood Old Town and an enchanting historical park, make your Festival experience one people of all ages have enjoyed for multiple generations.
Festival visitors wander every year through the extensive Vendor Village consisting of more than 100 booths, with a wide variety of shopping and activities to explore. Everyone will enjoy performances of a children's play by Sherwood's Voices for the Performing Arts Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 PM in Cannery Square Park. Multiple contestants demonstrate their creativity every year in the annual Castle Building Contest. Festivities also include a teen dance, kids crafts and play areas, plus plenty of delicious food, with a beer/wine/cider garden featuring selections from local wineries and breweries.
Festival admission is FREE, including all entertainment on the Main and Family Stages (excludes Voices for the Performing Arts performance, for which tickets must be purchased - vendors also charge fees for various activities).
